Četrta plošča Music for Men je leta 2009 skupino Gossip izstrelila na zemljevid najpriljubljenejših skupin novega tisočletja. Izjemno poslušljiva zmes punk ostrine in disko kiča, ki jo je mojstrsko produciral eden in edini Rick Rubin. Po treh letih je na police prišel najnovejši izdelek te LGBT trojke, A Joyful Noise, ki ga je napovedal singel Perfect World. Ikonična pevka Beth Ditto je v vmesnem času izdala samostojni EP, ki je izvrgel dva izjemna dance komada, še zlasti izstopa I wrote the book. Plošča skupine Gossip očitno nadaljuje tam, kjer je Beth Ditto končala s svojim samostojnim projektom. Na njej tako ne boste slišali praktično nobenih kitar, akustični zvok bobnov so nadomestili elektronski sempli. Popoln minimalizem, v katerem izstopa nezgrešljivi Dittin glas, toda kot celota ne ustvari dodane vrednosti. Glasba in zvok sta preveč spolirana, predvidljiva in brezidejna, kreativnih zasukov, ki bi poslušalca presentili, je malo, besedila pa so prazna in (pre)polna floskul. Pod črto bi lahko rekli, da Gossip sicer odkrivajo za njih nova glasbena področja, ki pa so v širšem smislu žal že premočno raziskana in predvidljiva.
